No lead, wireless phasing set – a safer alternative from AcculecSponsored
Almost all line trucks and crews have amongst their equipment a phase tester. In New Zealand, most organisations only provide the probe type to the men working on the lines - which means working closer to the live line than they really need to. New developments now incorporate wireless based technology to reduce this risk.
With a 90 meter range, a wireless phasing set (WPS) can be used to check the phase relationship between two energized conductors even with obstructions such as the distance between transformers, a large intersection or other obstructions. It can be used on underground as well as overhead lines. Without the connection cable between probes, a Wireless Phasing Set makes the job quicker, simpler and safer.
The WPS can also provide a secondary use as an Auto-Ranging Voltage Indicator (ARVI). Consisting of two separate units, the Main & Probe, the WPS is a portable tool with two modes of operation.
Acculec being a proud supplier of Hubbell products to the New Zealand market we are excited to announce the release of the CHANCE® Wireless Phasing Set (WPS), PSC4032916.
Bri-Tech has rebranded to become a market leading manufacturing and distribution company under the name of Acculec. This will mean that the quality products we have supplied in the past such as Ohio Brass, Chance, Anderson and Hendrix will continue to be available. However, we are looking to expand these quality offerings with increased levels of customer service and support, along with innovative products and technologies.
